Windows Update gives 80244019 and other problems

Hello:
I have an Acer aspire with Windows Vista Home Edition.

1. The problem began when I noticed that Internet Explorer was redirecting
other pages. I tried to update my windows and I received Code 80244019 error.
2. For that reason, I decided to reinstall my computer from my RECOVERY CDs.
The problem was always the same.
3. When I decided install my MSN Live in order to chat with my mates if they
have similar problem, I realized that I cannot download windows Live neither
any update from Microsoft web site. All the time, I was downloading other
software, programs, and PDFs from internet and updating my McAfee Antivirus
too.
4. Then, I reinstalled my operating system from my FACTORY DEFAULTS CDs that
I built when I bought my computer. The problem is the same.
5. Now, I cannot Update my Windows, IE is redirecting my search to other
pages randomly, I cannot download any patch fromo Windows web site, and I
cannot download Windows Live.

Of course I reviewed settings of my conexion, firewall, proxy, antiviruses,
etc. I didn't find any problem.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use (in
conjunction with some other utilities). HijackThis will NOT fix anything on
its own, but it will help you to both identify and remove any
hijackware/spyware with assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

by an expert in such matters, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this

independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) computer repair shop.
