windows update is hanging during download.

I had my Automatic Windows Update settings to automatically download updates
but not to install them untill I okayed it. Though recently, the autoupdate
is hanging at 31%, and I've tried to disable auto-update and do it manually
on the windows update website. On the site, it won't even start downloading.
I have a fast *.edu connection so I know that download speed isn't a factor.
Anyone know how to fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
