Found the laptop this morning wouldn't boot and was continuously cycling
booting and then giving a BSOD, it was fine last night before I went to bed
but the wife was feeding the baby at about 3:30 this morning and said it was
acting up then. So I assume it downloaded the latestr updates and installed
them last night. Now it won't boot at all give a BSOD in normal, last known
good config and safe mode too and there is not enough time to read the error
code before it reboots
.. Was there an update to an essential service delivered this month??? I
could then stop it from starting an them roll back to that point as I would
rather not have to restore the image that is a few months old.
it's a Dell D600, 768mb ram, 80GB disk, ATi Radeon 9000, running XP SP2 and
was all up to date patch wise. This is my only machine at home at the moment
as we are moving house and the desktops are all packed, so any advise would
be helpful
