Does anyone know of a way to selectively delete entries in the Windows Update
History? I'd like to remove some failed installation entries (which were
subsequently successfully installed). Thanks.

Please state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista 64-bit SP2;
Win7 RC; Win7 RTM) when posting in a forum or newsgroup.

yes, use "install/uninstall programs", w/"show updates" checked.

Sorry, I'm using Vista and there is no add/remove programs as far as I can
tell. Just an uninstall program freature with no show updates... I'm running
Microsoft Update on auto and want to deleted failed installation attempts
from the update history.

hi...i'm a little confused...
i think that "add/remove programs" was renamed "program and features", with
uninstall function listed below that. i assume that is what you're referring
to, when you say: "just an uninstall program with no show updates". if so, as
i say, that's what it was renamed, but when you say "no show updates", i
wonder exactly what you mean. i don't have vista so i can't see 'that part',
but it makes me wonder if you have a "check/uncheck" ability, same as found
in xp, which affects many, but not all, of the updates.

In Vista, updates for Windows (and I suppose other MS products) appear in a
separate control panel - under Windows Update, if I remember correctly.

Harry.
