My problem started about 2 weeks ago. I saw I had new critical updates ready
to install. It was KB836528, the MyDoom removal tool. I downloaded &
installed. 5 minutes later the icon reappeared in the system tray for the
same update. I install and install it and it keeps coming back. Happened on 2
of my PCs, both were running v5 of WU. My other PC running v4 did not prompt
for this update. However, as soon as I updated that PC, it now does the same
thing. I've been back & forth with Windows Update support staff for 10 days,
to no avail. I have run the Microsoft, Symantec, and McAfee scanner tool, all
report no infection, yet the update keeps coming back. Anyone help?
