Welcome to the club, it seems that KB943899 is responsible but don't worry
Microsoft will sort it out in a couple of months, so much for an update
supposed to 'improve' Vista, HA
Do a search om KB943899 here and google to see how widespread it is.

After I loaded that group of 7 updates I had a load of problems
associated with my AVG anti-virus. I then restored and loaded them one
a time. KB943302 turned out to be the one causing trouble. According
to some searches, that one has a slew of application fixes and one of
them is supposed to be to fix problems with AVG. I have not re-loaded
it.
