Windows Update Installation Fails

The following updates failed to install after downloading:

Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB834707)
-- Error Code: F0DA

Security Update for Windows XP (KB873376) -- Error Code: FFFFFB40

Security Update for Windows XP (KB841533)-- Error Code: FFFFFB40

Security Update for Windows XP (KB841356)-- Error Code: FFFFFB40

Security Update for Windows XP (KB840987) -- Error Code: FFFFFB40

What do these error codes mean and how do I resolve my problem? I tried to
search the knowledge database but it did not yield any results for these
error codes. Any advice/help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I get the same Error Code: FFFFFB40 when trying to install XP SP2. Can you
help?
