Windows Update issues

Prompted with the following error: Error number: 0x80244018 consitently when
attempting to run windows updates on a vanilla Server 2000 OS install. Need
help have a production server down.

WU_E_PT_HTTP_STATUS_FORBIDDEN Same as HTTP status 403 - server understood
the request, but declined to fulfill it.

Vanilla as in no Service Packs are installed?
