Windows Update / K841356

I saw a few updates this morning when running Windows Update. Various
ones installed fine, but one said it failed. K841356.

I found the file at the Microsoft site and downloaded the version for
Windows XP and SP1. When I attempted to install it manually I got a
popup box with a red X saying that the files were incompatible with
the ones on my system.

I rebooted and ran Windows Update again, this time it finds no
Critical Files to download. (0)

What does this mean and how can I fix it? I'd like to have the patch
correctly installed.

Never usually have any problems with Windows Update.
