Windows update kb888302 on Home edition XP

I have tried numerous times to download kb888302 and it always fails. I also
now receive a dialogue box that says I need to install PROPLUS.MSI. However,
I don't have the XP Pro installed but the Home Edition, so I obviously do not
have the software being requested.

I have tried all sorts of ways: downloading only kb888302 without other
downloads, Express, turning of the Firewall, etc. All the usual ways. Is
there anyone out there or from Microsoft who can give me a way to do this?

Question: Why are you trying to install this update now?

It dates back to February 2005.

Are you sure you have the right update number?
Recheck on the WU site, click on the red failed Icon and see if there's any
error codes. Also check the windowsupdate.log to see if anything is in there
that gives a clue.

BTW - proplus.msi is on the Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage
Edition
