I've tried to install this on a Win 2K (SP4) system. Windows Update keeps
saying the update was not installed and to try again. Trying again produces
the same results. Not even an error message to give me a hint as to what the
problem is. Yes, I'm doing this from an administrative account.

Any suggestions for something different to try?

JonS,

Are you installing the update while on the Windows Update site or did
you download, save it, close IE, and then attempt to install it ?
Try the latter and get KB894320 from here :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

I need to install the same update. It that process required, or only
if your having problems installing from the Windows update page?

Thanks

I had the same problem with Windows 2k, so this solution resolved it - and my
irritation at the 'Windows moment'.

Still waiting for answer.

Only install from manual download if having a problem or first attempt
though Windows update?

Thanks.
