windows update kb908531

windows auto update downloaded 6 security updates as a group. afterward i was
unable to use my address bar to go to websites. i used system restore to
correct the problem. then downloaded each separately till i found the
culprit...kb908531.

is there a fix for this problem? should i turn of auto update to keep it
from recurring? if i do i'll probably forget to look for updates on my own.

You have to wait until it is April 25th in Redmond. Normally in Europe,
these updates are not available until Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.

V2 of KB908531 is now available in DownloadCenter and should be very
soon via Windows/Microsoft/Auto Update if that's not the case yet.

I had previously uninstalled KB908531 due to problems.
The new version was offered and accepted and glad to say it works.
