Windows Update Loses Desktop Accessories

Running Windows XP HE SP2 after original embedded SP1. Ran the latest update
and had IE7 download failure. Had to roll back the IE7 install to get
internet access back. Accidentally removed accessories while trying to reload
IE6. System wants SP2 disk inserted (which I don't have) to return
accessories. Any remedies to get optional components back?
