Windows Update Network Security Settting

I'm trying to use Windows Update on a PC that's from a
previous employer. Getting: "Network policy settings
prevent you from using Windows Update to download and
install updates on your computer". Anyone know where that
setting is so I can change it?

Stating which version of Windows and Internet Explorer you're using
would enable someone to offer specific help instead of "generic" tips:
