Windows Update not accessible

This morning I clicked on Windows Update from msn.com home page side bar.
All it will do is take me to a page advertising Microsoft Update with a
button to click to download and install. No options to go to regular WU or
anything else. I had not installed or used MU. Yesterday morning all was as
usual. I read the article about how to disable MU, but it is not installed,
afaik. I do not want it installed. Has anyone else had this happen in the
last day or 2? How do I get rid of this aggrevation and back to my WU page?
Any help and advice is very much appreciated. Thanks.
