Windows Update not installing in my Windows 2003 Server machine

Hi

I got the following error when i tried to install the Windows updates for my
Windows 2003 server system

Installation Failure

Error Code: 0x80244018

Can anyone help me on this problem'

Same issue. No help at all. Every one of these newsgroup articles on the
0x80244018 error are totally useless for Windows 2003 server. And I KNOW
IT'S not the firewall b/c the Win 2k servers and Win XP workstations work
just fine. These have recently been installed/upgraded, but I was not the
one who did it. We've followed numerous instructions from the news groups
and from MSKB articles and nothing works.

Here's more info. I d/led the WGA diag tool and ran it. What's strange is
it shows that things are wrong I guess (i'll see if I can paste results) but
yet I'm able to go to Windows UPdate which I shouldn't be allowed to if I
didn't pass the validation. What's the problem!?!?
