Windows Update is not offering SP1 even problem drivers is updated

I already know that Windows Update will not give SP1 if it detect those known
problematic drivers (I got realtek AC'97 audio already updated on windows
update 3/10/08) that driver is new. I've been going to windows update since
the release and cannot get it to offer SP1. So i downloaded the standalone
installer today and installed it, well the result no problem at all so far.
Check device manager no error or yellow exclamation. realtek sound work
without problem. No crash/blue screen nothing at all

Can someone check if their is a problem in Windows update not offering SP1
for people that are allowed to. Please do so

I tried everything to get Windows update to show SP1 and it kept saying I was
up to date. I checked all the drivers, etc. Then I found a small note in the
SP1 deployment guide that said that Windows update has problems detecting if
a USB cable to a UPS was connected. It suggested unplugging all USB cables.
I did this , except my mouse, and immediately Windows update offered SP1. I
hope this helps someone.
