Windows update is not using system proxy setting

Anyone know how to force windows update to use the system proxy settings? It
seems to be ignoring the proxy setting for some update tasks, and by doing so
it gets blocked by our firewall, so the updates never completes.

If not...
I can create a rule on the firewall to allow access to Windows Update
without going through the proxy, but does anyone have a list of the windows
update IP addressesa and ports that should be allowed?
