Windows update not working...error Code 80010108

When I click on Windows Update and the window opens up, the message says
"Windows could not search for new updates", and allows you to "Check for
Updates". When you click on it, you immediately get a message saying
"Error(s) found: Code 80010108" with a link for troubleshooting. Please help
me solve this problem. Thank you.

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation:
