Windows Update for November and Graphics problems

Curious to know if anyone else has had strange graphics behavior since
downloading the latest Windows Updates.

I currently have both of my home machines set up to block IE7, so it
has nothing to do with IE7.

I came in the morning after Auto Update ran and my machine had rebooted
and my graphic setting were way off. My wife's machine had rebooted,
and when I tried to log in the screen went completely blank and I had
to do had hard shutdown.

Her machine came back up and so far seems to be okay. It is not worked
that hard. My machine on the other hand is worked pretty tough. I
will be in the middle of semi-intensive graphic use, and POW -
machine reboots and work is lost. I have run Prime on my machine for a
few days with no errors.

I thought this was just us until someone at work called me from their
home saying that they are having terrible graphic issues since Auto
Update ran.

Wife has an integrated nvida gforce 2, and I have an ATI 9600. The
coworker has radeon 340m.

Anyone - anyone?
