windows update, outlook express 6 problems and more

the outlook express6 (logo only) pops up and stays on the screen for a very
long time. never proceed to the outlook express6 program. ( no error message
followed)

cannot access to windows update by internet explorer 6.



windows defender always tries to scan my computer without my conscent. does
the program come with such feature?

how could I reinstall media center 2002 sp3? when I tried to install the
system again, it said the os I am using is newer than the one on the
dvd(sp1). it stops installing the os for me.

how can I uninstall internet explorer6?

spec:
windows xp media center edition version 2002 sp3(multilingual japanese
included)
memory module: 1Ghz (990mb avaliable)
HDD 40Gb
external HDD 312 Gb(usb 2.0 connected)
anti virus program: avast antivirus home edition 4.8

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use (in
conjunction with some other utilities). HijackThis will NOT fix anything on
its own, but it will help you to both identify and remove any
hijackware/spyware with assistance from an expert. **Post your log to
