I installed sp2 on 8-26-04. When i did a scan for
updates it showed that I needed sp1(which I have), I sent
prob. to microsoft. Today, I scanned again and now it
says that I need to install sp2. Help

Wanda;
Is SP-2 installed?
If not, it shows correctly.

Right click My Computer
Click Properties.
Does it say "Service Pack 1" or "Service Pack 2" under system?

Install SP-2 again following the Service Pack Installation Checklist:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/spackins.htm

This should fix whatever went wrong.

It does not matter if all or part of SP-2 is installed.
