Wouldn't hold your breath. Although I do see other reports of this error in
these newsgroups - much like yours - the details are usually left out/never
provided. Just general, "I received this error, tried some stuff, nothing
has worked - when are you going to fix it?" statements posted to these
peer-to-peer (not a Microsoft sounding board - this are volunteers and
people just like you) newsgroups.

You might include some details *other* than who you are, where you are from
and the error in question.
- What operating system are you having the issue with?
- What service pack level is the operating system you are having the issue
with?
- Is the system you are having the issue with 32-bit or 64-bit?
- What are the specific updates that are failing to install/giving you the
errors (KB######)?
- What AntiVirus software are you running on the system you are having this
issue with?
- What firewall are you using on the system you are having this issue with?
- Is there any further text around the error message?
- What have you tried to fix this issue on your own?
- Tried resetting your update components?
- Scanned with third-party antimalware applications?
- Temporarily disabled your firewall and/or antivirus while updating?
Please - provide some of this information or will you just be another one
throwing up an error with no other specifics and assigning the blame
arbitrarily although many others do not have the issue you have (even if
some do - if no one gives specifics - how can anyone be sure their issue is
the same as anyone elses?)
