Hey everyone,

My Name is Matthew I am 14 years old. Ok, I thought I should share this.
Microsoft has come up with a little virus of there own. Lets say I bought
Windows Vista, installed and activated it on my PC. Well then Joe borrows it
and installs and activates it. THAT RIGHT THERE!!! When Joe activated it,
although it says activation successful, Microsoft has sent you a virus. What
this does is pretty much disables you Windows Update, and sometimes will cut
off access to the internet. This does this with Windows XP and up. Just
thought I would share this.

Actually, old news and it is not a virus, in its true meaning. What it
really means is that you have been caught aiding and abetting piracy. Any
copy of Vista or XP or any other Microsoft operating system is licensed
to be installed and/or working on just one machine, depending how the
EULA (End User Licensing Agreement) is worded. After authentication and
validation via the Microsoft Product Activation system, a violation of
the licensing may be detected and appropriate action is taken. IOW, tell
Joe to buy his own copy of Vista and lock your's away.
