Is this Windows 2000 ? If so, ***strongly suggest*** that you call this
in. The issue is most likely related to the installation of the latest
Cumulative Secuirty Update for Internet Explorer 931768.
MS is not aware that this issue is affecting Win 2K systems in,
apparently, a significant number.
Since it's a Security Update causing the issue, support is FREE.
Just ensure that no mention of any NON-security update is made <w>

In the meantime, just UNcheck the box for KB832894 the next time the
system is prompted to install it by Automatic Updates, click OK, and

To be precise: The WU recognition mechanism for IE updates on
Windows 2000 is totally broken. Even if you *don't* install
KB931768, WU is offering outdated IE updates for Windows 2000,
even if they are already installed. That's true for IE6 SP1 and
IE 5.01 SP4 included in Windows 2000 SP4.

I'm having exactly the same problem... KB832894, Win2000. On the webpage
prior to this one (which I got to by choosing to go to the Windows Update Web
Site and installing manually), it said that KB832894 was 0k in size just as
it installed it once again for me.

Although having "intalled" it several times it's actually not among the list
in "Add/Remove Programs", and I don't see a corresponding folder in c:/winnt
either. Maybe the problem isn't that it's installing over and over so much as
never being installed correctly.

Are you sure of the MPSS phone number? I get the "... could not be comppleted
as dialed" message. I want to call this in. I've had several updates
repeatedly not install over the past couple of months.
