Windows Update Problems - Offline Files get enabled

We have a problem here. Recently, an update that has been created by MS has
caused "Enable Offline Files" to get checked in folder options. The previous
network administrator for our company left and updates have not been
installed for the past 6 months so any one of them could have caused it. I
can reproduce the problem every single time but can not narrow it down to any
"one" patch.

Has anyone out there seen this problem or does anyone know of a way around
this problem? I have tried disabling offline files using group policies but
it makes no difference, it still gets turned on when the updates are applied.

We are experiencing the same issues at my company as well. We have not been
able to narrow down a patch as of yet either. One thing different is that
when new updates were applied to my machine, the options did not turn back
on.
