windows update say's files are missing

when trying to update it say's that files are missing or un-registered please
re-install but it just keeps going round in circles anybody any ideas how to
fix as it is driving me mad

Hi,

Please try the steps in this post (creating and running the batch
file IEreg.bat):

http://groups.google.co.uk/group/mic...2?dmode=source

After running the batch file, I recommend a reboot.

I have the same problem and unfortunately running this file has made no
difference to me either.
