windows update shows startup frame again

The strangest thing keeps happening to me. Everytime I go to the windows
update page and click on custom the startup page loads directly on top again
in the same frame and then does it again. It's almost like looking at a
mirror in a mirror and seeing the samething infinite times. Is there a fix
to this?

Disable the BitComet add-on by opening Internet Options in the Control
Panel, click the Programs tab, then the Manage Add-ons button.
