windows update stopped working on April 1

I tried again to run windows update tonight. It was working fine until April
1st and then just quit working. I can't validate or anything. Has anyone
else run into this or have I done something without realizing it that made
the updates stop working? any help or suggestions will be appreciated

I guess I should have added that I am running xp pro and the update started
all of this was kb942763. The last successful update was "Security Update
for Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 and Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0
Service Pack 1 (KB933579)"

Windows Update as in using Internet Explorer to access WU|MU or
Automatic Updates ?
Please initiate a manual visit to Windows Update either via the link on
the Start Menu or open IE, click Tools, Windows Update.

If the system can not access the update site, nor download or install an
update, close IE.
Go to Start > Run > type in or copy&paste the below into the Open: line
and then click OK or press Enter

%windir%\windowsupdate.log

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the log.
Copy and paste the last 50 or so lines into your reply, please.

I'm having some problems too, with windows update, in one of my servers,
using IE, and i didn´t found any solution.

There are two errors that windows update don´t report, 801901F6 and 8024402F.

You should always begin a new thread about /your/ problems. That being
said...

Windows version? IE version? What anti-virus application or security suite
is installed? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What
third-party firewall (if any)? Is ISA Server installed? Does the server
update via WSUS?
