windows update urgent

message [Error number: 0x800B0001.. update dont even scan..lost my windows
original update and now have microsoft update which does not function..
please help

When searching for available updates on the Update site, you receive the 0x800B0001 error.

You can opt-out of Microsoft Update, go to the Microsoft Update homepage and choose “Change
Settings�, scroll down the page until you see the option to “Stop using Microsoft Update� and
select the “Disable Microsoft Update software….� Checkbox and click “Apply changes now�
