Hi!

We have a check box option on our firewall, where we can apply filter and
restrict web features on LAN. This stops ActiveX, Java, Cookies, Access to
HTTP Proxy Servers and Known Fraudulent Certificates .

If this option is enabled, windows update doesn`t work (get error message
0x80190193). If I disable this option, windows update works.

We use an add trusted domain list, to allow these features to run. My
question is, what URL or several URL does windows update use?

Have tried several options, here is a list of the URL`s I have put on my
trusted domain list:

update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate
update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate
v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
windowsupdate.microsoft.com
update.microsoft.com
download.microsoft.com
go.microsoft.com
https://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
https://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
start.microsoft.com
microsoft.com

Nils,

This short list should cover most all systems.
http://*.download.windowsupdate.com

http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com

https://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

http://update.microsoft.com
