Does anyone know why some of my machines got the v5 version of windowsupdate
and other machines still using v4?. I have the same problem on
many machines. I installed 2 identical machines in the same order, and with
the same updates. 1 machine got windowsupdate v4 and the other machine
windowsupdate v5. STRANGE!!! All updates succeedes on booth machines. I have
the same problem on 30 machines. Some got v5 and some still running v4.

Does anyone got a clue???

Kind regards Dan

Hello Dan,
This likely is a corporate network? or a very large home network <G>
And speak up if this is a SUS setup in a corporate network.

Don't expect to see WIN2000 on V5.

Some of this depends on how recently a particular XP machine has run Automatic Updates or visited Windows Updates.
XP pcs that visited W U, are more likely to have been offered V5.

v5 is only for xp. so try typing in v5 instead of v4 and
it should work.
