In reading some other posts here regarding Windows Update v5, it appears that it is going to force XP SP2 on client computers. Is this the case?
Will this happen via the Automatic Updates client that notifies users at the desktop level? In the past, something major like a service pack would only be recommended as a "Critical Update" when a computer visited the Windows Update website...
Thanks for the answers...

Hi

Microsoft staff have stated that it will be automatically
downloaded, but the user will be prompted to install it
(necessary to be able to e.g. display the EULA).

Tim;;
Not exactly.
If you have Automatic Update on, SP 2 will be downloaded and you will
be prompted for installation.
If Automatic Update is off, you will not see SP 2 unless you visit
Windows Update.
AFAIK, this was the same for SP 1.
