When i am trying to download updates for Win XP Pro, WU keeps failing on the
first part of the download Background Intelligent Transfer Service. Does
anyone else have this problem? And do you know how to get round it? The
reason i ask is because of some of the integrated updates in SP2, i cannot
install that, as it causes RPC errors when communicating with Unix boxes,
specifically KB828741 is what causes the problem. This is a brand new PC, and
it came with that update installed, so had to scratch the PC and install from
scratch. Now this!!! Will it ever work????
