windows update vista home premium

I am having issues with updastes. currently 25 updates and everytime I try
to update it fails. multiple tries but no success. seems like a different
error everytime.

Also issues with downloads. they hang on the download verification 1% or
if they do go through they fail do to certificate. Any one have any ideas?
