Windows Update - Vista RC2 Problem (Code 800F020B)

Hi!
I'm having trouble installing an update in Windows Vista RC2 (build 5744)
called "Microsoft Corporation driver update for Microsoft USB Sync" I ended
up getting this error:

Microsoft Corporation driver update for Microsoft USB Sync

Installation date: 12/25/2006 2:06 PM

Installation status: Failed

Error details: Code 800F020B

Update type: Recommended

This driver was provided by Microsoft Corporation for support of Microsoft
USB Sync

What does the error code mean and what do I need to do to fix it so that
it'll install properly, or is there a way I can download the update manually
and install it that way?

I get the same problem.

Currently my SmartPhone wont sync via WMDC at all and am waiting to get
drivers to connect

Am looking for a manual download / install solution too but cant find any
location to download from

I am getting the same error and cannot find a solution posted anywhere.... I am trying to install my pocket PC after upgradng to Vista and OMG what a pain... maybe I shouldn't have installed ista afterall?

Perhaps your device is not supported by Vista?
