windows update vs. IT Professionals download WinXP SP2

I want to get SP2 for my Windows XP computer that I have at home. I am
currently running Windows XP professional edition (no service packs).
However, my computer only has dial-up. Microsoft has a page where you can
download SP2 for "IT professionals" and the like. I can download this file
at my friend's place (fast connection), burn it to a CD, then install it from
the CD on my computer. Would this be a bad idea? Should I just download it
from Windows Update like Microsoft recommends? What do you think?

hungrybalrog,

You're idea is right on the money. Burn it to CD and then check out
these links prior to installing it to facilitate SP2's installation:
