Windows Update wakes computer?

Is there a way to tell Windows Update to wake a sleeping computer in order
to check and install updates? I know this is possible with the regular Task
Scheduler, but Windows Update has it's own scheduler and I don't see the
option. Thanks

It does that. If you have updates set to use automatic installation and your
computer is in sleep *and* your computer is connected to AC power, Windows
Update wakes the computer up and performs the downloads and updates. If the
computer is not on AC power, the updates are done at the next scheduled
time. My Windows Update runs at 3 am just fine.

Thank you. I appreciate the quick response. Glad to know that I don't have
to be concerned about it. Thanks again.
