hit 'extract' then a box should open that has a choice where you want to
extract the file to...choose the new folder you created on your desktop.
Then, hit extract.. If you right click the folder on your desktop and you
find there is no 'install choice', click on explore instead, then in the
right pane, you will see the file, and from there you can right click and
install.
