Windows Update won't recognize its own downloads!

Since my recent installation, re-installation of System Mechanic 6 my Windows
auto-update is out of whack. The function will not recognize its own
downloads, and that includes downloads made at Microsoft Update.com. The
little yellow shield will not go away! This did not use to happen and it has
only ocurred with the last five updates KB891781, KB896727, KB911564,
KB911567, and KB911562. In truth I do not know if this is a Windows problem
or a System Mechanic 6 problem. Can anybody help? Is there a fix?

smae here but i dont think its the system mechanic i didnt install anything
except a game patch and i dont think that would do it i ve checked for
spyware and virus everything came clean..the only thing that helped me to get
rid of the shield was restoring to a couple of days earlier system settings
with system restore..but i still cant get windows update to work for me it
just stays there with out showing me updates.they need to get this crap fixed
