Windows Update XP SP3 Error Code 0x800703e7

Windows XP Update Fails to install SP3 showing the error code 0x800703e7
after failing to download it.

Any one knows how to fix thi issue?

Error code 0x800703e7

The hard drive has become corrupted.

To start Check Disk
1. Open My Computer, right-click a drive, and then click Properties.
2. On the Tools tab, under Error-checking, click Check Now
then you get a dialog box, check "Automatically fix file system errors"
3. Click Start
You'll then have a message saying that it needs exclusive access and will
run next
time you reboot.

so, I have the same problem,
and its still says update failed with this error code after i run the disk
cleanup, check disk, and defrag.
wut should i do now? (get a new harddrive?)
