Windows Update for XP64

I am running Win XP Pro x64 Edition Build 3790. I try to run Windows Update.
First the 32 bit screen gets loaded and then presents me with the option to
Scan for Updates. It starts to scan and then comes back with "Windows update
has encountered an error and cannot display the requested page"... and this
happens every time! Of course this is still an Eval copy because a production
version isn't even shipping yet, but I can't seem to determine whether this
even should work with the x64 version. Does anybody have any experience with
this, like why not or what I do to make it work? Thanks.

The 64-bit version of Windows XP is a beta version and is not
supported by Windows Update. What you are eXPeriencing is
normal as there are no updates available.
