User is on Windows XP SP1 and is trying to apply updates either
through windowsupdate.microsoft.com or through SUS and receives the
error below:

Error: There is not enough disk space to install the update : Free
additional space on your hard disk and then try again.

There is about 10gig worth of free space left on his machine (Dell
Latitude D600). I've done some searching and had him try the
following based off of some previous posts:

REGSVR32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuapi.dll

REGSVR32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuaueng.dll

REGSVR32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\atl.dll

REGSVR32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\wucltui.dll

REGSVR32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\wups.dll

Those commands did nothing to resolve the issue. Also had him verify
if there were any files in the WUTEMP directory, there are none.

Verified that Automatic Updates is set to start up automatically and
it in fact is running.

Any ideas?? Help!!!!

Is the Virtual Memory/ limited in any way? make sure that there is at least
1GB allowed.
Windows often sees VM as being the actual HD space, and it may be making the
same mistake in this case.

Checked the virtual memory and they have 1.5G of virtual memory
allowed. Any other ideas?
