Windows Updates Hangs (Vista)

Everytime I want to install update I only can install a maximum of 3 at the
same time, because always the fourth or fifth wil crash my update program.
Even when I do: install updates and shutdown.
Is there any solution for, I tried to reinstall windows update, but nothing
seems to work.
