I am running a new computer Vista 32 bit with SP1 installed

It ran great till I tried to install these three updates

Update for Windows Vista (KB951978)

Update for Windows Vista (KB952709)

Update for Windows Vista (KB955020)

After I install them, my computer restarts then it just hangs. It gets to
the point where it says

Microsoft and the green line goes back and forth (right to left)

It'll just move back and forth, one time I left it on for 30 minutes and it
just hangs.

Of course I have to pull the plug on my computer then it comes up with try
to fix, which I do and it says "cannot fix, choose restore." I choose the
restore point and everything is fine, computer is OK

I tried installing each one individually but the same things happens. No
matter which one of those three I install, when it is time to reboot, the
computer hangs on that screen.

What is it about those updates? If I go to the restore point all is fine.

Did you install SP1 or did it come preinstalled on the machine?

If you installed it, did you do so via Windows Update or manually?
