Hi
I'm trying to do a windows update. Each time I try it downloads very
quickly but the installation, even for a teeny file, takes hours (no joke..).
I've found some solutions in various places her and on the MS website. One
says 1. Click on Start, Run and type "REGSVR32 MSSCRIPT.OCX" (w/o the
quotes).
You should see a popup message that this process succeeded. Click OK
2. Click on Start, Run and type "REGSVR32 DISPEX.DLL" (w/o the quotes).
You should see a popup message that this process succeeded. Click OK
3. Click on Start, Run and type "REGSVR32 VBSCRIPT.DLL" (w/o the quotes).
You should see a popup message that this process succeeded. Click OK
4. Click on Start, Run and type "REGSVR32 SCRRUN.DLL" (w/o the quotes).
You should see a popup message that this process succeeded. Click OK
All work OK except for REGSVR32 MSSCRIPT.OCX and this gives an error -
msscript.ocx failed 0x00000485. Nowhere can I find a solution to this bit...
Can someone please help me - it's obviously a common problem but I just
can't locate the solution....
Fingers crossed
