Hello!

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit.
Everytime Windows Update (e.g. Microsoft Update) is running, my system isn't
usable, because "TrustedInstaller.exe" is using 100% of cpu time for ~15-20
minutes.

It is a hugh problem, because I am also using Microsoft Forefront Client
Security as anti virus product, which will look for updates using MU every 4
hours. That's the reason why I can't disable the wu service.

My system in detail:
Intel Pentium M processor 2.13 GHz
2GB Ram

Regards
MH

No BETA. I am using Windows Vista RTM. I applied only updates from WU.

Hm, I'm somewhat surprised by the following header in your posting:
| X-Newsreader: Microsoft Windows Mail 6.0.6000.20661
^^^^^
Me thinks, that's an indication of a BETA/RC version of Vista
installed.

Now, it isn't BETA/RC. I applied some hotfixes - but the problem exists from
the first time, before I applied them.

Which ones exactly and from where? Anyway, I'm not using Vista.

Could you please explain to me, why you want to know, what hotfixes are
installed?
I said that the problem exists before I installed any hotfix.

I think that you don't listen to me, you think "Hey, the guy installed some
hotfixes, it is normal the he has that kind of problems" and stop thinking.

However: Here's a list of updates, I have installed:
KB932063
KB937230
KB938080
KB938092
KB938929
KB940069
KB941542
KB941673
KB942089
KB942435
KB942813
KB942903
KB943412
KB943544
KB939653
KB941202
KB933729
KB110806
KB905866
KB929300
KB932243
KB941229
KB941649

Hotfixes that are installed, are requested by Microsoft (no inofficial
source).

Regards,
MH

BTW: I created a support call.
I will keep posting an update, when I got some response from Microsoft.
