windows validation KB892130

I have since July tried as many others to update this. Why has not
Microsoft done something about it. My history in =updates is full of failed
ones of this number. MS have changed the format of updates so that one can
not see what updates are available. I can not get passed this error. Do
other updates come through automatically or not? I have trued turning off
Firewalls without success also open blockers etc. still no luck

Surely someone has the answer.

I had this problem with the validation tool, I had prevously validated a
programe so should not have been asked to validate.
Eventually what I did was to go: Start-Control-Add/Remove Programes. check
if you have already a Microsoft Validation progame and remove it . Go back
Window Updates - Tools - Manage add ons - should find a Active X for
Microsoft Validation tool and disable it. Update then should load the
Validation tool. hope this helps

If your Windows Update programe shows on the history page, a list of KB
numbers of failed instalations, then you can try looking in the Microsoft
Download Centre, as you can often Download from there with no problems, but
they do not show up in the History programe, but are in Add/Remove programe.
