Can any tell how I know if service pack 2 is installed on my pc, when I look
at the system properties it doesn't state that its sp2. When I check for
updates it says its OK
Thanks

Open control panel "System" and it will tell you

Hi Robin, Tried there but it just says 'home edition version 2002'. I'm
guessing that SP2 hasn't installed but wasn't sure if theres any where else I
can check

If it doesn't say anything about a Service Pack, then this means that
neither SP1 nor SP2 has been installed. Your system is no longer supported
by Microsoft and no security patches are any longer released for it. Your
system might have many unpatched vulnerabilities.

You should download and install SP2. Before that you should ensure that any
pre-SP2 prerequisite actions have been taken: this might include updating
BIOS and/or system drivers (motherboard chipset, video, audio etc), from the
manufacturers' support sites. You should also ensure that your system is
free of malware before installing SP2.
