Windows Virtual PC Energy Saving Mode

I am using Windows 7 with Windows Virtual PC.
In the virtual box I installed a standard Windows XP.
Now the XP has activated the engergy saving mode.
When I use the action end energy saving mode XP will me activated for a few
seconds and then the energy saving mode is active again.
I can no longer work with this virtual pc.

What can I do?
